We can but hope, and with any luck, she'll be going out the back entrance.

And LaVey's hilarious, the Satanic Bible's every bit as ridiculous as the regular one, and only marginally less patronising. And y'know who REALLY isn't a fan of LaVey? Clive Barker. Someone asked him about him when i was at the Fangoria horror convention in April, and he called him a fake and a phoney.

Ah, LaVeyan satanism. Refuge of mall-goths, fuzzy embrace to faux-anarchists...

My personal beliefs? Don't fuck with other's beliefs. It's just about that simple. I think anything that makes a person feel like they've achieved some sort of enlightenment is all well and good, so long as they're not shoving it down someone's throat or harming other people. That, or you're not L. Ron Hubbard.

We of the Ubiqtorate have the Pope in our pocket. We're skipping a few steps.

If you met her, you would really like her.

I believe in something similar to the Brahman and the Atman, but I only express it that way cause I can't with my own words, I am not Hinduist since I disapprove of organized religion and I could never be politheist-monoteism seems too much to me already :P

I am not religious, although spiritual, and I do believe in things so I guess I'm agnostic. But I don't have a very good view on religion. For one, I find that most of them just don't...suit me. I don't click with them. The only thing I've ever really taken an interest in is Christianity and Paganism (of various forms). Whereas I find myself unable to commit to a Pagan lifestyle, I find a lot of what I read in books on the subject comforting and making a lot of sense to me. Christianity, however, has only ever bought me hate, pain and confusion. I've spoken with some very lovely, caring Christians (the type who represent what Christianity is, like I suppose most religions, supposed to be about) who want to help, but unfortunately, the most repelling thing about these lovely people is the fact that when they struggle to explain to me what makes them believe, they sound like people of blind faith- even my very down-to-earth and grounded fiance. Their reasoning for Jesus being the son of god is "Either he was telling the truth, or he was crazy!" Never "he was lying" or "maybe somebody else made it up". Or even thinking..."well maybe he WAS crazy!" They know only two options and seem to debunk one out of default. I don't want to insult Christians when I say this, but these very narrow, vague reasoning doesn't cut it with me, and expecting me to jump in blindly is just as naive. And as I say, Christianity has never bought me comfort, so I'm not at all inclined to throw away my niggling throughts and jump in without thinking.

I don't find religion very warm and comforting in general really. I find beliefs and happenings more significant, and they can happen and occur in anyone, of any culture.
